Description

Hardy corn which dates back to pre-Columbian times.

Plant produces high yields of beautiful 19cm long blue-black corn, starting out white in colour.

Can be eaten fresh at the white stage and is a good choice for corn meal or flour.

Harvesting seed

Remove the cobs from the plant 5 weeks after the eating stage or wait until brown. Pull back the husks to finish drying.

Grip and twist the dried cobs into a container.

Winnow and then store in an airtight container.
