Sow in Spring and harvest in early Winter.
Save seeds from at least 5 plants. Must be allowed to grow through the Winter to produce flowering shoots and seeds.
Harvest pods when they have turned brown and slightly brittle but before they shatter. Gather seeds by cutting entire branches or the whole plant.
Place on cloths or a container to prevent seed loss and thresh the pods by rubbing with the hands or trampling.
Store seeds in an airtight container in a cool, dark and dry place.
