Description

Grown in England since the 1880s. A hardy bush bean good for outdoor cultivation producing a good crop of beans for drying.

Dry beans are mottled pink and maroon.

Harvesting seed

Leave on the plant to dry and turn a tan colour.

Pick pods or the whole plant and break open to release the seeds. Separate from the chaff.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place.
