This variety produces fine quality pods with 4-5 chestnut-crimson beans per pod.
The beans are best lightly steamed to retain as much of their colour and flavour as possible.
Collect seeds during the dry stage before the first frost when the pods are dry and brittle.
If the pods are not dry before the first frost, pull up the plants and dry indoors.
When dry, break open the pods and separate the seeds. Store in a cool, dark, dry place in an airtight container.
